Lasting change happens when a community comes together. Our partnerships are the foundation of our work, allowing us to provide critical support to families on the verge of homelessness. By joining forces, we can restore hope and create lasting stability for our neighbors in the Twin Cities.

Our unique approach focuses on families with school-age children who are struggling financially and are at risk of losing their home. Together, we can offer a path forward and help build a brighter future, one family at a time.

What we do

We provide a comprehensive support system that empowers families to achieve long-term stability and well-being. Our model is built on collaboration and trust, with services managed by Brighter Futures to ensure families and volunteers receive the support they need.

Brighter Futures provides full access to our program infrastructure, including family identification, screening and application processes; training and background checks for volunteers; administration of rent stipend payments and tracking of family outcomes.

Family Identification: We partner with school districts, county agencies and other nonprofits to connect with families who need support.

Housing Support: We provide monthly rent assistance, offering immediate relief and security.

Family Partners: Volunteer teams meet with their assigned family monthly, offering encouragement, wisdom and connections to helpful resources.

Budget Coaching: Trained coaches meet with the family monthly to help them create a budget, improve financial habits and build confidence.

Types of partnerships

We collaborate with a wide range of organizations, each playing a vital role in our mission.

Community partners

Community partners It takes a village to support families in our community. We partner with schools, local government agencies and nonprofits to identify and support families who are a good fit for our program. We

are looking for families that:

  • Have children enrolled in school
  • Are at risk of losing their housing
  • Have employed adult(s)
  • Are available for weekly meetings with mentors and coaches

Our program is open to individuals of all income levels. Your partnership helps us connect our wrap-around support to the families who need it most.

Faith-based partners

Faith-based partners We are proud to partner with faith-based organizations, including churches, to make a meaningful impact. Together, we can restore hope and transform lives for families living in our communities.

Your organization can partner with us in several ways:

  • Sponsor: Help fund a family’s rent support for 6–12 months.
  • Volunteers: Provide volunteers to serve as family partners and budget coaches.
  • Collaborate: Work together to fine-tune the program to meet your needs.
