Refer a family
Thank you for your commitment to join us in supporting families in our community. Your referral can be the first step toward assisting a family in finding housing stability and hope.
At BrighterFutures.Life, we walk alongside families with school-age children who are experiencing financial challenges and may be at risk of losing their home. We provide partial rent relief, family partners and budget coaches to equip families with the tools and a hope to change their trajectory more toward a brighter future.
By providing support and resources, we can empower families to overcome their immediate challenges and achieve long-term success.

About the program
We provide a comprehensive support system that empowers families to achieve immediate partial rent relief along with long-term stability and well-being.
Our model is built on collaboration and trust, with services managed by Brighter Futures to ensure families and volunteers receive the support they need.
Rent Support: We provide monthly partial rent assistance, offering immediate relief and security.
Family Partners: Trained volunteer teams meet with their assigned family, offering encouragement, wisdom and connections to helpful resources.
Budget Coaching: Trained coaches meet with families to assist them in creating a budget, improving financial habits and building confidence.
How the program works for families
Once a family is identified and a referral submitted to Brighter Futures, our compassionate staff takes it from there and we take the following steps:
Step 1: An initial introductory call is scheduled to review family needs and discuss program overview.
Step 2: Family completes application and submits application to Brighter Futures.
Step 3: If accepted into the program, a budget coach and family partners are assigned and begin meeting with families.
Step 4: Monthly partial rent relief is paid directly to the landlord.
Step 5: Budget coach and family partner volunteers provide monthly updates to Brighter Futures.
Step 6: A 6-month progress review is established to consider extension of support or to graduate the family.
