Our program offers partial rent relief to help you remain in your home. But we don’t stop there — we also provide personalized support through our dedicated Family Partners and Budget Coaches. Together, we’ll help you strengthen budgeting skills and take positive steps forward.
Our team takes the time to truly understand your situation, listen to your story and approach every conversation with care and respect. If you qualify, we’ll work closely with you to create a plan that supports both your immediate needs and your long-term goals.

How to get started
Taking the first step is simple. Here is how you can ask for assistance:
Step 1: Fill out the form to contact us.
Step 2: We will call you for a short phone interview.
Step 3: If our program seems like a good fit, we will send you an application.
Step 4: Complete the application and send it to us.
Step 5: Your application will be reviewed by our staff.
Step 6: If you are accepted, we will assist you in getting started with the program.
Family eligibility
You are eligible for the Brighter Futures program if:
- You are at risk of losing housing and have no prior eviction record
- You have school-aged children enrolled in school in the Twin Cities area
- You are a full-time employed parent or guardian
- You are willing to meet regularly in person with a Family Partner and Budget Coach
